Nicot Blanc , Mas des Agrunelles
Started in 2005 by Frédéric Porro and Stéphanie Ponso. This 25ha vineyard is situated on the Terrace du Larzac, North-West of Montpellier. In the winery they shun the usual style shown here in favour of delicate wines with subtle extractions. The estates name comes from all the wild sloe trees that can be found around the vineyard, with sloe being ‘Agrunelles’ in old Occitan. Biodynamic methods are used in the vineyard with processes like pruning and harvest being matched to the lunar calendar.
