An impressive expression of the endemic Mencia grape, with the Rock'n'Roll touch of Diego Losada. After working for a range of conventional wine makers he decided to carve his own venture and set up his own winery outside his home town of Ponferrada. Diego now farms a 5 hectare estate of up to 60 year old vines here in Bierzo. Like his love for rock music that has been with him ever since he started up a band aged 16years old and his wines follow the same path as they are just as creative and expressive as his music.
The vines are all located on steep slopes and this harsh climate often experiences brutal winters and short humid summers. But Diego loves a challenge and he uses organic practises to guide the vines with very little interference. This approach allows him to produce pure and honest wines that have a real sense of the regions terroir.
