Angaco, Mas Lou
Olivier and Adèle set out on their own in Faugères after years of working the vines. As well as Coume del Mas and Mas Cristine, they have worked harvests in Spain, Chile, and Bordeaux before starting Mas Lou in 2014. Olivier’s first love is the vines, and would far prefer to be among them than the winery.
Their 8ha sits between 200 and 400m above sea level, giving a cooling freshness to the wines that others in the region struggle to achieve. The quantities are tiny, and the French wine press has started to take notice of just how delicious the wines are.
Producer: Mas Lou
Viticulture & Winemaking Organic viticulture. Grapes hand-harvested, and all fermented in stainless steel vats through indigenous yeasts. The wine is then finished with little intervention and low S02.

Tasting Notes A rich centre of dark berries, cherries and dried herbs. The enticing fruits work together with ripe tannins and youthful acidity. Makes for an elegant and balanced red.
