Colle Ozio Grechetto, Leonardo Bussoletti
Leonardo Bussoletti's organic vineyards have been inherited from family members and extend to nine hectares around Narni in the Umbrian province of Terni. The local clone, Ciliegiolo di Narni, is believed by some to be the true genesis of Ciliegiolo, rather than originating in Tuscany.
Grechetto is another speciality of Umbria, and Leonardo grows both varieties: Grechetto di Orvieto and Grechetto di Todi, also known as Pignoletto. He vinifies them separately because they possess strikingly different characteristics, then blends to achieve a balanced finished wine.
