Pinot Noir, Bee Tree
The Bee Tree Vineyard in East Sussex is owned and run by Vine-Works, who also provides a suite of management services from planting through to harvest for vineyards across the UK. They use their 1.5-hectare site of vines to trial new management approaches which they might then apply to vineyards they manage for their clients. They tend to the rows in different ways to truly understand what benefits soil and vine health the most. Using a combination of advancements in soil health analysis, whilst using old forms of cover cropping and manual de-weeding to get better and better results. The vineyard has been rewarded with it's sustainability certification.
They are truly distinctive wines that sit firmly in the new still wine era for this country. The small addition of Cabernet Noir (not Sauvignon) adds a backbone to the wine.
